About CCA

Christ-Centered. Relationally Rooted. Academically Excellent.
At Cleburne Christian Academy, we partner with families to cultivate students who love the Lord, pursue truth, and walk in wisdom. Our small class sizes, deeply invested teachers, and intentionally Christ-centered approach create a place where students are truly known—and where they thrive.
We believe education is both academic and spiritual formation. That’s why we integrate biblical truth into every subject, hold weekly school-wide chapel, and cultivate a learning environment filled with grace, growth, and purpose.

Distinctives That Set Us Apart
-
Biblical Worldview in Every Classroom
We don’t treat faith as an add-on—it’s at the heart of everything we do. From science to literature, we teach students to see the world through the lens of Scripture. -
Relational Teaching
Our teachers are more than instructors—they’re mentors who know each student by name, story, and strength. With small class sizes and a strong partnership with parents, we nurture the whole child. -
Academic Excellence with Purpose
We use research-backed methods and thoughtful curriculum to challenge students intellectually. Growth is measured through Renaissance assessments, portfolios, and real-world application. -
Whole-School Community
CCA serves PreK through 12th grade in a unified, joy-filled school culture. Students of all ages participate in weekly chapel, service projects, electives, and campus traditions that strengthen faith and build belonging.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Wondering if CCA is the right fit for your family?
This FAQ offers a quick look at what we value, how we teach, and what life at our school is like. If you don’t see your question here, we’re always happy to connect!
What makes CCA different from other schools in the area?
Cleburne Christian Academy offers a Christ-centered, relational education where students are known, challenged, and supported. Our small class sizes allow for meaningful connection, hands-on learning, and flexible teaching approaches tailored to each child’s strengths.
Is CCA academically strong?
Yes. Our students consistently meet and exceed national benchmarks, and our approach blends high expectations with personalized support. We value deep thinking, strong communication, and real-world application—not just busywork or testing performance.
Do students learn about the Bible?
Absolutely. God’s Word is integrated into every subject area, not just Bible class. Weekly chapel, regular devotions, and a grace-filled approach to discipline help shape students’ hearts as well as their minds.
What curriculum does CCA use?
At CCA, we believe curriculum is a tool—not a teacher. It serves to support learning, not drive it. That’s why we place gifted, Christ-centered educators at the heart of our classrooms and equip them with high-quality resources that align with our mission.
We take a blended approach to curriculum selection, drawing from time-tested, research-backed programs and Christ-centered publishers to support strong academic growth and biblical integration. Our goal is not to follow one boxed program, but to intentionally choose materials that support deep understanding, critical thinking, and faith formation.
Our school-wide curriculum includes:
-
Saxon Math (K–12): Emphasizing mastery through incremental practice and review.
-
UFLI (K–2): A phonics-based approach to early literacy grounded in current research.
-
BJU Press: Used selectively across grade levels for English and history, offering strong biblical integration and age-appropriate depth.
-
Apologia Science (Upper School): A rigorous, creation-based science curriculum encouraging observation, reasoning, and faith integration.
-
Upper School Humanities: We use a classical and narrative-driven approach, including resources like Classical Rhetoric Through Structure and Style and historically rich materials like Dave Raymond’s Christendom. While specific titles may shift, our focus remains on developing students who can think deeply, communicate effectively, and engage the world with biblical truth.
Every resource we use is chosen with care—and always placed in the hands of a teacher who can guide students with wisdom, relationship, and purpose.
What kinds of students thrive at CCA?
Students who are curious, creative, or seeking a smaller community often flourish here. Because our teachers truly know their students, we’re able to nurture both confidence and character in children with a wide range of learning styles and personalities.
How are students prepared for the future?
From foundational skills in primary school to career exploration and college readiness in high school, our Pathways to Purpose program helps students discover their God-given gifts and prepare for meaningful impact beyond graduation
Do you offer extracurriculars and electives?
Yes! Students can explore electives in areas like robotics, theater, culinary arts, digital design, worship leadership, and more. We also offer athletics, cheer, music, and student leadership opportunities to help students grow in all areas of life.
Is financial aid available?
