About Us

Prior to 1989, there was not a non-church sponsored private Christian school in Cleburne, Texas. Cleburne was a growing community of 22,000 with more than 58 churches.

Three men hosted a city-wide meeting to explore the possibilities for such an educational facility. That meeting generated the impetus to open the doors of Cleburne Community Christian School (CCCS) in the fall of 1989. The funds needed were underwritten by the three founding families.

Thirty-seven students enrolled in preschool through fourth grades at CCCS that first year. Faculty and students initially met at the First Christian Church on Nolan River Road. God prospered this endeavor and increasing enrollments made it necessary to seek larger facilities.

The school Board of Directors secured a lease on the Family Life Center at Cleburne Bible Church to ensure adequate room for a positive learning environment. CCCS  continually grew and expanded our student population.

CCCS was endowed by a generous donation of land. This blessing was a 21-acre tract of land on Country Club Road and Glenhaven Dr. in Cleburne located at 1410 Glenhaven Dr. Cleburne, TX  76033.  Consequently, an ambitious program of expansion was undertaken in order to meet the needs of the growing numbers of families who seek the offerings of our school. These facilities are temporary, but we are blessed to hold school on our own property.

In June 2009 the school board unanimously voted to change to a shorter, more appropriate name. Cleburne Community Christian School (CCCS) is now known as Cleburne Christian Academy (CCA). We pray that our new name will help with the school’s forward movement.

The slab for our permanent building has been poured and we are working with many members of this community to finish it.

Cleburne Christian Academy (CCA) bought another building to host the technologies department and to expand our fine arts curriculum.  CCA will be a K4-12th grade academy with the commencement of the 2013-2014 school year.

We have some wonderful things in the works. Please keep our school in your prayers.
